The Pittsburgh Tour Bandits inline hockey organization has announced their tryout dates for the upcoming 2010 tournament season. Open tryouts will be held at Harmarville Blade Runners on Monday December 28, 2009, beginning at 6:00 pm for 8U & 10U and 7:30 pm for 12U & 14U players. The 16U/18U/21U tryouts will be held on Tuesday December 29th from 9:00 – 10:30 pm. Players are asked to arrive early to expedite the registration process, ensuring that the players can take the floor on time. Cost for the tryout will be $10 per player, with a portion of the proceeds to be invested back into the teams to help defray some of the costs associated with running the operations. Players of all skill levels are urged to attend and will be placed on a team that will pit them against similarly skilled players from other organizations around the country.
The Pittsburgh Bandits are slated to play in tournaments throughout the region this year, with the possibility of the teams travelling to national events.
Pittsburgh Bandits youth teams will be coached by members of the Pittsburgh Bandits AIHL Professional team. To view a list of coaches go to the Bandits website at www.pittsburghbandits.com . Players will be exposed to some of the best coaching Western PA area has to offer.
If you can not make the tryout but are seriously interested in participating on a Bandits team please contact program director Jon Roux @ 412-826-0800 x 18 or by e-mail at jonroux@comcast.net
